Deposit Products

  Compulsory Savings Account (Susu Savings)

This product enables customer to deposit contributions in anticipation of loan facility. The loan amount to be approved is determined by the balance of the account and the regularity of the deposit. This product is linked to the Asempa and Ohwefo loan products.

   Current Account

This is a chequeing account which enables the customer to make payments to suppliers and associates (without necessarily visiting his/her branch) through the issue of cheques. This account is the medium for the use of an overdraft product.

  Fixed Deposit Account

This is a high interest yielding deposit account which requires that a fixed amount is invested for a fixed period of I month, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. Interest rate is up to 17% depending on the term and the amount invested as shown below.

a)         3 month Fixed Deposit                          -           12% -14%           per annum
            i)          Amounts up to US $5,000          -           12%                   per annum
            ii)         Amounts above US $5,000         -           100,000,000     13% per annum
            iii)        Amounts above US $10,000       -           14%                  per annum

c)         6 months Fixed Deposit (All Amounts)    -           15%

d)         12 months Fixed Deposit                       -           16% - 17%
            i)          Amounts up to US $10,000         -           16%
            ii)          Amounts above US $10,000       -           Negotiable between 16-17 per annum
